Trump’s nominee for AG, Pam Bondi was approved by the Senate with a vote of 54-46. All Republicans voted yay and were joined by Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman.

Doug Collins – Secretary of Veterans Affairs – Confirmed

This is the first day of dual confirmations in the 2025 Senate session and it welcomes the new Secretary of Veterans Affairs, who cleared that hurdle by a tally of 77-23. Doug Collins takes over a department that is struggling under the weight of poor marks from veterans who rely on the VA for critical care.
