Pete Hegseth – Secretary of Defense – Confirmed
In a tight confirmation vote that required a tie-breaker from VP J.D. Vance, Pete Hegseth becomes the new head of the DoD. Collins, Murkowski and McConnell voted with the Democrats against the confirmation.
Hegseth, 44, has a highly decorated military background which paved the way for him to sign on a Fox News as a host. Democrats leveled charge after charge at Hegseth from the beginning, asserting that he drinks irresponsibly and disrespects women.
It’s clear that Hegseth brings the President’s mandate to his new office, emphasizing peace through strength.
